How KnitCustom Works
Custom sweater design, sampling and production
Start with your artwork, reference photo or garment.
Review the sample photos before the agreed sample payment.
From Design Brief to Delivery
1. Share Your Brief
- Send your artwork, logo or reference garment, plus the intended wearer and use.
- Include quantities by style, color and size, your destination and the date you need the goods. See our sweater tech pack guide for a practical starting brief.
2. Review the Design Concept
- We review your references and prepare sketches or digital mock-ups for discussion.
- Check the silhouette, main colors and artwork placement before moving into detailed development.
3. Confirm the Design Details
- Refine the neckline, sleeves, rib trims, motif dimensions and any branding details.
- Keep one agreed version of the artwork and record revisions so the sample follows the same brief.
4. Select Yarn and Construction
- Discuss fiber composition, yarn colors and the weight or hand feel you want.
- Review the proposed knitting technique against the artwork and intended garment.
- Compare a finished swatch or suitable reference before approving the material.
- Use our cotton, wool and acrylic guide to prepare material questions.
5. Review the Quotation
- Confirm the design, material, quantity, sample charge, packaging and shipping scope together.
- The example below uses our Custom Knitted Sweater price schedule in USD. Other styles may differ. Confirm the selected style, shipping and any additional charges in your quotation.

6. Approve the Sample
- Sample development takes 3–9 days. Confirm the design and material specification before sampling begins.
- Review the sample photos and, where needed, a physical sample for fit, measurements, color and knitted artwork.
- Record corrections and final approval before bulk production. A digital mock-up alone does not confirm the finished garment.
7. Knit the Production Order
- Production follows the approved sample, artwork revision and order quantities.
- Bulk production takes 10–20 days after sample approval. Shipping time is additional; confirm the dispatch schedule with your order.
8. Check Measurements and Finish
- Check the garments against the approved reference for construction, measurements and appearance.
- Review details such as seams, rib trims, artwork placement and labels before packing.
9. Confirm Packing Requirements
- Agree the fold, individual packaging, size identification and carton quantities for your order.
- Share any custom label or packaging artwork early so it can be reviewed with the garment specification.
10. Arrange Shipping and Follow-up
- Confirm the delivery address, transport method, freight charge and any import responsibilities before dispatch.
- Tracking details help you follow the shipment. Transit estimates depend on the route and customs processing.
- After receipt, check the order and email us with the order reference and photographs if anything needs attention.
